Local Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Information
DCS Schools and Settings are committed to inclusion and aim for all our children to thrive and achieve their potential. We follow the graduated approach to SEND provision. All children will follow a supportability process on entry, which will clarify what is available for support in our location.
You will need to send your Supportability Form to Hornbill School, please use the contact form at the bottom of the page to request the appropriate email address.

How will we communicate with you?
We use Famly, an online learning journal as our communication tool. You can use Famly to access your child’s daily learning including daily logs of their care, food and general well-being throughout the session.
Once you have received educational clearance and are found supportable to move to Brunei and attend a DCS setting, you may then contact Treetops to enquire about a childcare space. You will be asked to complete an enquiry for on the Famly app, via a link provided by the Setting Manager.
Once the form has been received via email or in person, management will arrange for you to come to the setting for a showaround once you have arrived in Brunei. This is an opportunity for you to meet the staff and see the educational environment for yourself. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, and hear what Treetops offers to its service users. This is also a chance to discuss session availability and receive an application form to complete, should you wish for your child to attend Treetops.
Once an application form has been completed and returned, settling in sessions will then be arranged for your child(ren) prior to their start date to support the transition from home, in to an early year’s environment. This is a key part of our process, with parents attending the settling in sessions to support their children.
